The Hammer Food Project

The Hammer Food Project Foundation is dedicated to the establishment and promotion of Regenerative Food for a Healthy Planet. Regenerative Food is food that organic, healthy, sustainably produced and distributed. Initially the Foundation will develop and then operate various educational

programs associated with the Hammer Museum located on the campus of UCLA. Such programs aim to

expose the public ot the benefits and rewards of regenerative food and the resulting healthy lifestyle ti engenders. The goal is to educate individuals about the benefits so that they can achieve the same results in their own lives and within their own lifestyles. The Foundation will be in charge of hospitality, media and events in support of the Regenerative Food project at Hammer Museum, which will include:

Speaking Events
Cooking Events
Public Programs about food
Creating programs and classes with UCLA
Creating a Think Tank to bring together environmentalists, thinkers, faculty and students Devise ancillary projects and public outreach

Research regenerative systems
Organize local purveyors and growers for regenerative farming
Creating an internship and mentoring program
The Foundation wil rely on volunteers, as wel as interns and students, to produce these activities. The Foundation anticipates employing a small number of individuals to manage the Project and its
volunteers.
The Foundation activities will center in, and around, the Hammer Museum. The Museum plans to construct a for-profit restaurant that will be available to the Foundation to host its various activities. The Museum restaurant is further intended to provide funding for the Foundation going forward.
The activities described herein will be a full-time enterprise for the Foundation. The majority of funding will come from individual donations, event fundraising, grants and Hammer Museum restaurant contributions. It is anticipated that fundraising activities will account for less than 15% of overall expenses.

The activities described herein are meant to inform, expose and educate the general public regarding Regenerative Food ni general, and its benefits ot both the individual and the environment. The goal si the change behaviors, create healthier citizens and improve our environment through better foodproduction, sourcing, preparation and consumption.
